Lesson 12 : Non-relevant UT indication

Lesson 13 : Classification of Discontinuities in UT

Lesson 14 : Identification and comparison of Discontinuities 

     

2. SPECIFIC COURSE                                             8 HOURS

     

STUDY OF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING CODES, STANDARDS, AND SPECIFICATIONS:

 1. Boilers and Pressure Vessels Code ASME Section V Article 4 or 5

 2. Structure Welding Code (steel) AWS D1.1

3. PRACTICAL COUR                                           36 HOURS

PRACTICAL HANDS-ON COVERING THE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS:

1.            Calibration of Ultrasonic Equipment

2.            Use of Reference Calibration Blocks

3.            Lamination testing of steel plates

4.            Wall thickness measurements

5.            Angle beam testing of the welds (Plates & Pipes)

6.            Sizing of discontinuities

7.            Evaluation of flaws in accordance with the acceptance/rejection criteria

            of the specified code

           

TOTAL TRAINING HOURS                     80 HOURS
